چکیده

Two-point correlation function of galaxy distribution shows that the structure in the present Universe is scale-free up to a certain scale (at least several tens Mpc), which suggests that a fractal structure may exist. If small primordial density fluctuations have a fractal structure, the present fractal-like nonlinear structure below the horizon scale could be naturally explained. We analyze a time evolution of a fractal density perturbations in Einstein-de Sitter universe, and study how the perturbation evolves and what kind of nonlinear structure will come out. We assume one-dimensional collisionless sheet model with initial Cantor-type fractal perturbations. The nonlinear structure seems to approach some attractor with a unique fractal dimension, which is independent of the fractal dimensions of initial perturbations. A discrete self-similarity in the phase space is also found when the universal nonlinear fractal structure is reached. Three-dimensional Burgers’ Equation as a Model for the Large-Scale Structure Formation in the Universe

As galaxy redshift surveys probe deeper into the universe, they uncover ever more dramatic structures in the large-scale distribution of galaxies. In particular, the CfA2 and SSRS2 surveys to an apparent magnitude limit of 15.5 exhibit an impressive complex of sheets, filaments, and clusters. The formation of the largescale structure in the universe results from the gravitational amplification ...

The late infall of cold dark matter onto an isolated galaxy produces flows with definite local velocity vectors throughout the galactic halo. It also produces caustic rings, which are places in the halo where the dark matter density is very large. The self-similar model of halo formation predicts that the caustic ring radii an follow the approximate law an ≃ 1/n. I interpret bumps in the rotati...

Structure formation and generalized second law of thermodynamics in some viable f(R)-gravity models

We investigate the growth of matter density perturbations as well as the generalized second law (GSL) of thermodynamics in the framework of f(R)-gravity. We consider a spatially flat FRW universe filled with the pressureless matter and radiation which is enclosed by the dynamical apparent horizon with the Hawking temperature. For some viable f(R) models containing the Starobinsky, Hu-Sawicki, Exp...

Observational Cosmology has indeed made very rapid progress in recent years. The ability to quantify the universe has largely improved due to observational constraints coming from structure formation Measurements of CMB anisotropy and, more recently, polarization have played a very important role. Besides precise determination of various parameters of the ‘standard’ cosmological model, observat...

Viable Inhomogeneous Model Universe without Dark Energy from Primordial Inflation

A new model of the observed universe, using solutions to the full Einstein equations, is developed from the hypothesis that our observable universe is an underdense bubble, with an internally inhomogeneous fractal bubble distribution of bound matter systems, in a spatially flat bulk universe. It is argued on the basis of primordial inflation and resulting structure formation, that the clocks of...
